There’s no rest for the wicked, and this week, while everyone was out on break celebrating the season (or falling ill — hope you guys are better!), some carnivals were still up and running, brimming with great articles:
The Carnival of Personal Finance #80 is at My Personal Finance Blog, where I found this interesting piece: Stock Investment Fraud Exposed. Swindler Plays the Game Well. Con games have a grip on me, as you may already know.
The Carnival of Fraud, 16th Edition is at the FRAUDFiles Blog. Massive Failure Rates in MLMs: Proof that 99% never earn a profit gives me pause. I tried joining an MLM once and of course, I just lost my initial investment in it!
The Business, Technology and Knowledge Carnival, Holiday Edition is at Uncommon Knowledge. This is one cool post from this carnival: Online Presents for Christmas and the New Year! — of course, because it’s from a Dating Blog.
The Carnival of Credit Card #1 is at Credit Card Lowdown. How Credit Card Debt Can Kill You stopped me in my tracks by reminding me how insidious credit card debt can be as it creeps up on you.
The Carnival of the True Crime Blogs for December 27, 2006 is at the Crime Scene Blog. The articles here are off topic for this site so I suggest you just check it out at your convenience, but I included it here because I frequent this carnival given my long standing fascination with mystery, suspense and crime stories.
The Carnival of the Vanities #223: Christmas Hangover is at Silflay Hraka. I went over there and couldn’t really choose a post to highlight as they were all good! Again, I suggest you check this out yourself. Many articles here are quite political in nature.
The Festival of Frugality #54 is at the very enthusiastic Money Smart Life! I sympathize with the guy who claimed he Was Rejected By Lowe’s Home Improvement.
The Personal Development Carnival - December 24, 2006 is at Creating A Better Life. Why Public Schools are Failures to the Best Students reminded me a lot of what Steve Olson writes often about.
The Christmas Carnival of the Capitalists is at the Worker Bees Blog. No really … who does want to be a millionaire? More numbers to ponder over.
The Carnival of Entrepreneurs, Round 3 is at Startup Spark. Get some tough love with Success is at Your Doorstep, where the author commands you to be successful!
The Webmasters and Bloggers Carnival is at Sir Look Network. Besides having such a cool title, Traffic Geyser got me inspired. I’m always keen on hearing words of support from other bloggers.
There you have it! Have a great read and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Great blog. Thanks for posting the links. I too fell prey to a MLM years back. I had about $1500 in savings so I figured $500 they were asking was a safe bet. Turns out I got a $500 box of gel vitamins that I never sold a penny of.
MLM, what a wonderful scheme out there.
Happy new Year.
