I’ve recently joined a blog network called the “Investors Blog Network” (IBN), whose badge you can see I’ve proudly displayed on my left sidebar. I came upon it thanks to my fellow blogger Golbguru from Money, Matter and More Musings, who has said badge on his site. And since I thought it would be a great idea to be part of a league of some sort much like the highly successful Money Blog Network, I joined the group.

It’s an interesting network at this time, with the majority of its members being in the investing, stock market and trading space of the finance community. But all personal finance bloggers are welcome to inquire about membership here since the moderator of the network has told me that “investing takes many forms”. Well ain’t that the truth!

So we’re starting a new tradition this week with select entries from the IBN joining our menagerie of money articles.

Investors’ Blog Network Articles

Investor Trip cames up with this intriguing post Super Bowl Indicator For Annual Dow Jones Trends. Now that the Colts have won, what do you think? Ah, it’s all superstition anyway right?

Money, Matter And More Musings has come up with a beefy post called Getting Rid of Your Debt Without Worrying About The Latte Factor. It’s a visual rendition of the saying: don’t be penny wise and pound foolish.

My Wealth Builder gives us Lessons From The Poker Table where he applies these lessons to personal finance.

One Guy’s Investments wonders out loud with Is Akamai Going to Buy ALL of its Competitors? (AKAM) He owns Akamai and it’s looking like a good position right now!

Next week I’ll be introducing other members of the IBN.

Articles From My Reading List

My First Million At 33 informs us now that Subprime Loans Are Harder To Come By, where he explains that lenders are starting to implode due to housing market changes. Check it out, along with all the other top notch analysis that Frugal and ML have cooked up.

The Bargain Queen is a shopping blog with personality! Though written for an Australian audience, I do visit her site once in a while and get suggestions such as Buy Spring Fashion…In Spring! Goodness knows how I desperately need help in this department.

Zen Habits is a new self development blog I’ve been following. It was hatched in November, 2006 when the author was writing at a more leisurely pace. Suddenly in the first week of February alone, he’s posted over 40 times! He’s becoming another bionic blogger like The Simple Dollar, which makes this post so ironic: Slow Down…To Enjoy Life. But still, I love this site for its material, depth and sincerity. And follow his story here too, it’s beautiful.

My Two Dollars has this nice reminder for all of us: Living Below Your Means - What It Really Means To Me. You’re on your way to becoming the Millionaire Next Door, if you aren’t one already!

Mapgirl’s Fiscal Challenge shares her struggles with Late Night Temptations, where she talks about how she wrestles with her budget and choices she makes everyday.

1SiliconValley.com gives us the very intriguing How To Lose Your House. Definitely a must read, along with all the other great articles Steve has over at his site! I find his blog a wonderful resource for all the Silicon Valley residents out there, such as myself.
