The hot new contest in town is the new Free Money Finance’s March Madness Giveaway Sweepstakes. Just kidding — Free Money Finance is hosting a posting competition where he’s accepting entries on the topic of personal finance, pitting them against each other and having the winner receive some cool prizes. The commenters who will help determine that winner will also get a chance to win something as well, based on the rules and details FMF spells forth here. This should be exciting as there’s a pretty strong turnout for this contest in the financial blogosphere.
I have submitted the maximum 4 entries per blogger for this contest. And they’ve made the initial cut! Now we’ll have to see how they fare among the readers. Here were my submissions:
Walking In A Winter Wonderland for $1,300
In a way, this is my tribute to my family. Just my favorite and most sentimental post here.
Money 101: My Basic Financial Plan
One of the earliest informative posts I’ve written with some length to it. It’s also an introduction to basic financial ideas I’ve been trying to adhere to throughout my life.
Don’t Let Real Estate Clean You Out
I thought there was some humor hidden in this post somewhere. Here I hoped to achieve some balance of information and fun.
Stop Overspending Now! 14 Ways To Conquer Binge Buying
Based on feedback I had received, I thought this article may have struck a chord with some people.
I also just discovered that my article Money 101: My Basic Financial Plan is in Round 1, Game 5 published today. Ahhh!
So all in all, it looks like it’s going to be an exciting competition, what with all the great posts I’ve seen that others have submitted already! I can’t wait to see what FMF has in store for us.
