Before I start my carnival round, I just wanted to vent a little about some technical blogging stuff I’m experiencing. I just noticed that I’m having a bit of trouble with receiving trackbacks from my fellow bloggers so I am sometimes unaware as to who is linking to me. This is a little like being tapped in the back and you don’t turn around to notice who’s behind you. Well, at least that’s how I’m feeling right now! Oh yeah, there’s some site slowness as well, which is hindering my ability to post promptly. My apologies for any inconvenience as I work on straightening things out.
Million Dollar Journey is currently hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance #126 this week. Million Dollar Journey being a Canadian blog, I was tempted to translate that to Two Million USD Journey
(Sorry, I couldn’t resist the jab at the American dollar given where it’s headed!). Over there, you’ll find quite a lot of intriguing articles like these:
- The 10 Most Important Things I Have Learned About Dividend Investing @ The Dividend Guy (a must read for investors!)
- The Tale of Two Friends @ Vixen On A Budget
- Active Resume Building @ Money And Such
- Open yourself to opportunity and inspiration—Mrs. Micah’s mini-business plan @ Mrs. Micah
- 401K Q’s: Employer Match, Milestones & 50+ Contributors @ My Retirement Blog
The Festival of Frugality 100: Remembering was celebrated at Frugal For Life. I love the layout since I can easily see who wrote which article
. Check out these picks!
- 10 Online Budget Tools @ The Dough Roller
- Moving Is Helping Us Simplify @ A Penny Closer
- My Chick-Fil-A-Cow Is Turning A Profit @ Money Ning (say what?)
And for a touch of the insane, you can visit The Carnival of The Insanities held by the esteemed Dr. Sanity!

Thanks for the link. Good luck with trackbacks and the like! When I was using blogger, I never knew if people linked to my articles. At least the Wordpress platform is better about that.
Thanks for the link back. Great blog you have here, keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for the link.
Blogging is a never ending battle with content and technical issue – there is always one of them to do!
Thanks for the mention!
The 2 million dollar comment would work (although with a different meaning) when the exchange rate was 1 USD = 1.5 CDN!! What a change a couple years have made.
Thanks guys! MoneyNing — I realized I had to qualify what I said about the million vs 2 million dollars since depending on your perspective, you would get a different figure! Should have realized that. So yes, at the rate things are going, before long, the Canadian Million Dollar Journey should eventually be equivalent to the Two Million USD Journey!
Thanks for the link!
Now you’ve got me worried I’m not *sending* all my trackbacks either. I don’t always see them show up in the list of “already pinged”, but I hadn’t thought about til you mentioned not always getting them…
Great site that you have here!
Best Wishes

Thanks for the link. I don’t think we’re quite at 2:1 for the Canadian Dollar… yet…
Naah, we’re not yet at 2:1 but you never know! 8}
