Just to introduce myself, I go by the alias the Silicon Valley Blogger since it sounded fairly representative of what I do and where I live, and I thought to snag the name before any one of these other blogging engineers did.

I’m also a mother of two, with a spouse who’s trying to get a tech startup going. We’re what you may call older Generation X-ers currently trying to bootstrap ourselves using one income (mine) and our current savings to fund this new business. I thought to discuss some of our journey here as well as cover a variety of money topics, from personal finance and business to some local money or cultural stories from Silicon Valley.
