With the turn in the weather, I’ve picked up a cold bug or two, so I’ve been running low on the energy the last few days… This has made me function a little behind on my schedule this week. Nevertheless, I’ve managed to squeeze some time for a visit to a couple of carnivals!
Over at the Carnival of Personal Finance #148 that was held at Gather Little By Little, I was able to take in these articles:
- Spend $10. It’s Worth It! @ Cash Money Life
- Etrade’s Quickplan - Personalized & Easy Retirement Planning! @ FIRE Finance
- Make More Money With the Same Paycheck @ Growing Money
- How to Successfully Navigate Your Way through Home Renovations: 10 Practical Tips @ Personal Financier
While at the Festival of Frugality #121, Tax Day Edition hosted by Rather Be Shopping, these posts spoke to me:
- Free Is Almost Never Free @ Save and Conquer
- 10 Ways to Reduce Spending @ Ask Mr Credit Card
- Always Pay By Credit Card To Protect Against Airline Bankruptcy Loss @ Money Blue Book
If you’re looking for more to read, please hop on over to these carnivals, where a lot of PF minds congregate! ![]()

Thanks for the mention.
Sorry to hear you’ve been sick. Hopefully, that, like the weather, will change.
Thanks for the highlight of my post.
Hey Digerati,
Thanks for the inclusion. I hope you feel better soon. Allergies perhaps?
Thanks so much for dropping by and chiming in.
Actually, there seems to be a bad cold bug going around the schools right now, and of course it landed on my kids and eventually on me…. Late night coughing all around sure keeps us all awake at night! So yeah, I’m out of sorts during the day, but should be better by the weekend, at least!
It’s quite nice here in Cali right now though. All the blooming’s in full swing.
SVB, so sorry to hear about the cold bug. Get well soon. This is the allergy season and last year we had a horrible time with it.
Thanks for the mention and all the best for a quick healing and bouncing back to great content :).
Cheers,
FIRE Finance
Thanks for including my article.
Hey, could anyone tell me what these carnivals actually are? Like I keep seeing the term personal finance carnival, is it just an accumulation of personal finance posts from blogs?
