Welcome to my Stock Market Investing page! One of my favorite topics (if not my favorite) as a personal finance blogger has been the subject of investments and the stock market. If you’ve been following my site for a while, you’ll notice that I’ve covered some ground in this area, and have enjoyed discussing and analyzing various matters about investing and the stock market throughout the years — from long term passive investing to short term stock trading, to market timing, fundamental and technical analysis, stock picking, diversification strategies, online broker reviews, investment tools and tips. Yes, I enjoy covering all things that could help us grow our money in interesting ways!

My Views and Perspectives On Stock Market Investing

My background and stance on investing is this: I am primarily a long term investor who is passionate about the markets. I started investing over two decades ago, so I’ve got some experience in this area, albeit as a small investor. While I’m not a professional financial adviser or expert, I am someone who is familiar with the investing arena as a market enthusiast. I am hoping that this site can serve as a place where we can all learn and vent about the markets together. If we’re going to ride a bull or a bear, might as well get into this roller coaster together, right?

I started investing in 1989, right before the 1990 recession hit. In fact, during my investing lifetime, I’ve gone through three economic recessions and a large bull market squeezed in between. Living in Silicon Valley, I also saw just how crazy the dot com phase of the bull market affected many stocks, including the ones I owned via stock options or just part of my regular portfolio. I had worked at many technical software startups and witnessed many a stock implode and go to zero. But, I’ve also seen lots of them soar to heights unseen and make many friends wealthy (wish it were me! ;) ).

At any rate, I share many of my thoughts and ideas about the markets on this site.
