Here’s to the ladies of the personal finance blogosphere….
In honor of Jennifer Hudson’s Oscar win (ah, she was an American Idol alumnus!) for Best Supporting Actress, I am choosing this week’s favorite articles among some great blogs by women! I know there are many more such blogs, and I apologize for whom I’ve missed, but I hope to be able to write about them next time.
Articles I Liked This Week
Mapgirl @ Mapgirl’s Fiscal Challenge sees a silver lining in Mega Millions Lottery Sucker. Ummm… can I admit that I did the same thing? I figured the few bucks was worth the pleasure of having the fantasy.
Tricia @ Blogging Away Debt melted my heart with her story, It’s Worth A Whole Lot More. Can anything be any more heartwarming?
Single Ma @ Single Ma’s Fabulous Financials warns us that Consumer Debt Is Not Fabulous. Yes, debt doesn’t become her, and neither does it look good on me!
Sharon @ The Frugal Duchess shares with us My Cash-Only Status Changes: New Credit Card; New Rules? She has great tips on watching the use of her credit card.
Madame X @ My Open Wallet talks about something I found very intriguing Is LASIK worth it? I’d love to have LASIK done to me, but I can’t. First, I’m technically legally blind, which means without my spectacles or lenses, I will be completely unable to function. Second, I am so incredibly myopic that my corneas won’t be able to handle the “lasering” needed to get me to 20/20. Ugggh! So frustrating.
Kimber @ No Limits Ladies offers a great analysis on Housing Costs, where she questions whether the average household really does follow housing cost guidelines.
Tired But Happy gives us Letter From Human Resources: WTF? She received a strange letter implying some issues with her 403B retirement plan. Just like her, I’ve received many odd letters before and documents that claim that this account or that needed to be updated, modified, moved, reviewed and so on and so forth. It’s a huge pet peeve for me whenever I read about my financial accounts getting tampered with!
Young And Broke presents MTV True Life: I’m In Debt. Seems like I have more than one thing in common with Young And Broke — beyond the financial blogging, we both follow pop culture and documentaries of a financial nature.
Check out last week’s best here as well…

Thanks for the link! I admit it, I get a little thrill from playing the lottery.
This is a great post about Women authors, but you only posted about those writing blogs.
Don’t forget that there are many women who do not have blogs or their own websites even, yet write incredibly well.
On ArticlesBin.com we have a few women who are authors. One of those has an article which has been in the #3 most popular articles on our site since she posted it. Her Name is Shari Hearn and her article is titled Can Hypnosis Help with Pregnancy and Childbirth?.
Please come and read her article and check for our other Women Authors, as they are extremely good writers and also deserve the credit.
Thank You for allowing me to comment on your blog with links to her article.

But of course! Thanks for giving us the heads up on other women authors and writers. I run a personal finance blog so I often bring to the forefront other pf blogs. But I love discovering writers and authors who touch on a variety of topics so I appreciate your sharing your site with us.
