Money Blog Articles For December 22, 2006

by Silicon Valley Blogger on December 22, 2006

I’m back with another installment of some of this week’s unfailingly well-written carnival articles. The finance blog community is growing and going on strong with entries such as:

Increasing Your Hourly Rate To Get Rich from the Carnival of Investing #53 at Lazy Man And Money. Let’s talk about working smart instead of just working hard.

Automatic Millionaire, Implemented!
from the Carnival of Personal Finance #79 at A Penny Saved. There’s a bonus eye-catching Visio diagram that summarizes one system behind becoming an automatic millionaire.

Financial and Branding Lessons from Tyra Banks from the Carnival of Success Edition #10. The author, My Simple Trading System captured my attention when he mentioned America’s Next Top Model with Tyra Banks, which I watch religiously. So I HAD to reference this article!

18 Ways To Improve Your Body Language from Bootstrap Your Life Carnival – December 18, 2006 at AngelaRandall.com. Now I better watch how much I fidget and twitch even when nobody’s looking!

Pay Off Your Mortgage Early? from the Carnival of Wealth Building Ideas – December 19, 2006 at Wealth Building World. I am tempted to pay down the mortgage more quickly but my loan is too attractive to get rid of!

What Do You Care What Other People Think? from the Personal Development Carnival – December 17, 2006 at Creating A Better Life. I enjoy writing that poses a challenge through strong questions like this.

Festival of Investing – December 19, 2006 at Investing World Today. Hell, I was just curious where Satan would be placing his bets.

A Word To The Wise from the Carnival of Thoughtful Consideration #2 at Thoughtful Consideration. I’m big on learning from others’ experiences and cautionary reminders. Here’s another one to keep close.

Don’t Use Credit Cards – Or Should I? from the Festival of Frugality #53 at Mom Advice. You know yourself best. If you feel like you can regulate your use of cards, then owning a couple is reasonable. I have a very limited number of cards which I only use for specific purchases, and personally, I can’t imagine being able to live without the convenience, flexibility and yes(!) rewards, that they offer. But YMMV.

Earn Money By Participating In A Discussion Board from the Internet Money Maker’s Carnival, 4th Edition at My Quest To Make Money From The Internet. I included this post because there seems to be some buzz around my lot in the blogosphere and I was somewhat intrigued. Bring on those newfangled innovations!

Lots of fresh articles to help grow our brains which I’ve lovingly reviewed and assembled…by hand. You can check out more wonderful posts at the carnivals themselves.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
