QuickBooks Online Features

It’s pretty easy to set up and start using QuickBooks. You can access free, live support if necessary, and they’ve got experts that are more than ready and able to help you. The features of Quickbooks are all meant to make accounting easier for those of us who are not mathematically inclined or who aren’t accountants.

With Go mobile, you can still run your business with your iPhone, Blackberry or any device that is Android-ready. Although the mobile version has limited features, it still allows you to manage payables, check your bank balance, and access customer information all from your mobile device.

The Company Snapshot will allow you to see the overview of your business in graphs. This will help you with understanding business trends and comparing the performance of your business relative to the previous years.

You can also create and send purchase orders online. This serves a two-fold purpose: getting the purchase done and tracking it in your accounting system right away.

You can also review industry trends with Quickbooks, which can give you an in-depth perspective of what your competitors in the industry are doing.

I don’t have a lot of accounting/bookkeeping experience — although I hope to just get into the groove soon. I am actually pathetic as I always think I could figure out my own accounting system and not bother with software (I want to do it “my” way).

That said, does anyone have experience with Quickbooks Online? If so, any thoughts on it? I understand that using the desktop version would be so much more affordable, but would be curious to know if anyone has tried or is using the web version.

So you haven’t used Quickbooks before? I started using it last year. Do be sure to get Quickbooks Pro! Don’t try Simple Start, I was sorry that I started with it. I have pretty much gotten the hang of the program so give a holler if you have any questions. 🙂
