No Holiday Break For Me! The Roundup

by Silicon Valley Blogger on December 22, 2008

Have you started your holiday break yet? Well then, lucky you, because I don’t think I’m getting one ;) . I’ve accepted a few writing jobs in the last several weeks, so I guess I’ll be busier than ever. I’ll tell you more about it in the future, but safe to say it’s with a few interesting sites. Hello Wise Bread and ePlay!

I know this week will be crazy, and I’m not too sure if I’ll be able to stick to my usual blogging pace, but we’ll see. A dear friend of mine is driving up from L.A. with her family to stay with us for several days. My parents just flew in from Asia for a planned 2 month (or so) visit with us, and well, I still have to announce who wins the Epson Workforce 600, though I’m planning to do so by tomorrow (banning unforeseen distractions and circumstances). I’m still trying to figure out how we’ll fit a road trip or two somewhere in there. Thank goodness nobody’s gotten sick yet… knock on wood.

Who needs a break?

Despite all the “real life” stuff going on, I hope to be able to keep up with our usual schedule here. So here were some of the readings I managed to squeeze in between tasks this week:

A big thank you to Tax Rascal (cute name aka Byrne Hobart) for voting me twice into his Top 10 For Taxes series. He included my photo essay on overlooked tax deductions in his Ten Best Tax Blog Posts: 2008, as well as selected this site as one of the Top 10 Tax Blogs out there. Now that he’s said that, I wish I could write more tax-related posts to live up to these honors! :) Thanks Byrne, this is pretty exciting!
