Well, I thought things couldn’t get crazier around here but it has. Lots of things have been happening behind the scenes for us, including some blog-related social and media events. So it’s all good. Fantastic in fact!
Citi Cards Offers New Rewards Credit Card
I’ll be participating in a webcast this Friday, February 27 from 1 pm to 2 pm ET. Citi Cards will be unveiling a new rewards card called Citi Forward, that seeks to reward good credit use. The terms are pretty interesting and as far as I’ve seen, there’s nothing like this type of card available in the market so far. It’s a media only event, but the webcast should be available to check out later.
Update: For more particulars on Citi Forward, check out my article on Citi Forward Credit Card Rewards. Or you can also check out Citi’s card offerings here:

Bargaineering Was In Town
I thought I’d mention some of the wonderful perks of being a blogger in the financial space. I mentioned how a couple of months ago, we had a chance to have a money blogger over at our house for a few days: Cap from Stop Buying Crap was our house guest in early December. Well, last Friday, we had another financial blogger grace our home for the night: Jim from Bargaineering.com was in town to attend an elite conference with some big names in the internet space, so we got the opportunity to meet up for a short while. He stopped by to have dinner with me, Lazy Man and Lazy Man’s lovely wife Kelly, where we talked some shop and American Idol
. We all had a grand time and I’m 100% certain we’ll be doing more of this in the future. Any bloggers who find themselves over here in the West Coast, don’t hesitate to give us a ring!
Wise Bread Unveils A New Personal Finance Feature
Now here’s an awesome new tool from Wise Bread. They’ve unveiled their Top 100 Personal Finance Blog Rankings, which reveals the statistics of some of the recognizable blogs in the personal finance space. It reminds me of a similar list that FIRE Finance has been updating on a monthly basis.
Wise Bread’s feature gives you an idea of which blogs may be popular or influential based on traffic numbers and various site rankings; it sounds like they have plans for further developing this and other similar features. On this note, do check out our short list of personal finance resources, where I compile information on the personal finance blogging space that may be useful to you.

I’m interested in the Citi Forward announcement. Please keep us updated with another blog post. Thanks SVB!
Thanks Eric! I’ll definitely give you more information about this card soon. It’s quite intriguing, since it adds a new twist to how rewards are offered. I think it has a pretty good premise. Stay tuned!
I am really curious about Citi too. Registered for the event. Please keep us updated.
Well it’s nice to have some online business friends to come and drop by. Share some experiences or thoughts on how business has been operating, maybe he can even give some tips. And the citi cards new credit rewards seems interesting.
It was a fun time, I enjoyed seeing you and Lazy Man again!
I want to sincerely thank you for mentioning my blog in your post. I’m interested in hearing more about the Citi Card. My recent Countrywide Card deal (2% against my mortgage) is ending this month, so I’m in the market for a new best cc deal.
Love your blog-
Thanks for the mention
Hey, thanks for the mention!
are you a girl, blogowner?
@Myer,
Yes I am. Interesting question!
With the present economy, credit card companies should make it a point not to lose their customers…thus they are taking the plunge to give freebies and rewards. For me, good customer service will suffice.
