Free Money Finance Hosts March Madness
Free Money Finance has finally launched his annual March Madness event, which he hosts for charity. Personal financial bloggers submit blog posts that are pit against each other in head to head combat, with readers getting to vote on the posts they like. Those who win in each round advance to the next, until we end up with a winner. Sounds exciting?
I have a post competing in Round 1, where I entered my article on Lost Money: How Money Drains Add Up To $175,000 In 10 Years. If you have some time, you may want to check the articles over there and cast your vote! You can vote through this link.
Miami Herald Write Up
I also have to thank Sharon Harvey Rosenberg from The Frugal Duchess for her article A System For Sorting, which she wrote for the Miami Herald. She also featured this piece in her blog.
Sharon’s article featured some tips on space saving and organization based on an interview I had with her, and on a few posts we’ve published: Cash In On Clutter and Organize Your Home With These Space Saving Ideas. Thanks to Sharon for allowing us the wonderful opportunity to share some pointers with her readers.
The Money Writers Are Experiencing A Baby Boom!
Get ready for baby! As far as I know, there are THREE out of nine bloggers from The Money Writers’ Network who are expecting babies. Ben from Money Smart Life has some pink baby room pictures to share with us. While Madison from My Dollar Plan talks about how her family is expanding. And finally, another expectant father with a bun in the oven is the charming fellow behind Gen X Finance. Congrats to Jeremy on the upcoming arrival of his first child. Rumor has it that the babies in the works are all gals!

Thanks! It does seem like a lot of little girls in the works. I’m going to be outnumbered soon!
Thx for the mention!
Thanks for the link!
Our family had our baby boom with three kids in four years. Not looking for that to happen again anytime soon.
There does seem to be a bit of a baby boom happening (me included)!
Thanks for the mention!
Yeah RocketC, we’re done as well. I would love to have more kids, but given our circumstances, it’s going to be tough to manage and given our ages, I’m not sure it’s a good idea.
FFB,
I have to keep up with your story more. Best to you and your family!
Congratulations on your boom!
Thanks for the link to frugal dad’s article. I believe I am a frugal dad myself. So was my late dad. I come from a big family and my siblings and I are one in admiring the wisdom handed down to us by our dad especially during these tough economic times about cutting down on useless spending, avoiding luxuries, making sacrifices and keeping life simple. Truly, the best things in life are free. One just has to desire to find them.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you, SVB!
Thanks so much for the link!
